Workers of the world, liberation is in your hands!

On the eve of World Workers’ Day, as usual, we see various threats and pressures from the security forces of the capitalist system. Holding rallies on the occasion of International Workers’ Day has always been frightening for the ruling class, and the danger of uniting sections of society around the progressive demands of the working class has always threatened the government. Exploiters think that repression can stop protests against workers’ rights, and they have invested heavily in protecting their property and capital.

But regardless of what kind of government and in what situation the workers gather for World Class Day, we have to ask ourselves what is International Workers’ Day and what isn’t.

International Workers’ Day is not only a day to protest against a particular regime or government, a day to protest against a particular movement, a day to protest against a number of oppressions and social problems. The roots of the captivity and misery of the workers should not be sought in the rent-seeking of the family of someone inpower, the domination of a religious ideology, and the monopoly of a particular military or security institution. The root cause of all discrimination and slavery of workers must be sought in the foundation of society, which is the very mode of economic production of that society. The production of surplus value through the exploitation of labor power, private ownership of the means of production and the provision of capitalist profits are the fundamental goals and laws underlying capitalist society. Without changing this infrastructure and destroying the underlying logic of capitalist society, the working class cannot be liberated in the true sense of the word and liberate society as a whole.

May Day is a class that has a common and universal class interest, independent of national, ethnic, gender, trade union, indigenous and non-indigenous identities, borders and categories, unemployed and employed, formal and contractual, racial, etc. Capitalist Burial Day!

With the birth of the capitalist system, the world army moved the wheel of wealth production in society without owning its means of production, having a role in the political and social management of society, and being able to use its labor force to meet the needs of society. Capitalism, by resorting to political power and private property, was able to significantly divide the working class and repress and fool the workers by drawing boundaries and classifying them and carving out sacred and reactionary values. Workers have to sell their labor to the capitalist in order to survive, which is why they are exploited by the capitalists, whether at high or low wages.

International Workers’ Day is the day of the working class protesting against the class system, a system whose destruction is possible only by the working class, and it is clear to this class that it only benefits from the abolition of wage slavery. Due to its position in the productive and economic relations of society, this class has the power to paralyze society by force. If the workers, in the form of a class, wield political power and, by pushing boundaries and barriers, can transform the mode of capitalist production into a mode of collective production, that day will mark the end of the period in which man lives in a class society.

On this day, the workers declare that they are united against the capitalists and the system of domination. The basic condition for the class victory of the workers is the existence of a strong union and organization, and the establishment of independent workers’ councils based on the movement of general assemblies is more necessary than the bread of the night to move towards liberation. From Haft Tappeh to Tehran, from teachers to students, from Ahvaz Steel to oil, and many freedom-loving workers have all raised the flag of the Soviet movement and come to the square with their distinctive strategy.

International Workers’ Day is an emphasis on the conflict of interests between the two classes. Class is not defined in terms of income, rich or poor, occupation, lifestyle, and degree of oppression. The worker of the oppressed does not need pity. Class is defined independently of everything based on the position of individuals in the mode of production, and the power of the workers must be understood here.

As a result, it is only through the power of the working class that a seal of annulment can be stamped on class society. So let’s turn this day into an opportunity for consensus to create practical and new possibilities in order to strengthen unity, awareness and organization. It is good for the workers and their families to gather and give speeches, hold rallies and celebrate this day with the aim of strengthening their class power on a large scale.
